My Role
My creative director and I partnered with The Emory team to define a website experience that boldly reflected the property’s distinctive brand and premium offerings. During discovery conversations, the client expressed a desire to break away from traditional website layouts in favor of a more expressive, editorial approach. They envisioned a site that embraced large, bold typography, unconventional layouts, and a strong visual presence that felt sophisticated, edgy, and confident.
The design direction leaned heavily into black as a primary color, paired with a soft beige background to create contrast and refinement. Given the caliber of the interiors and amenities, we prioritized large-scale photography throughout the site, allowing the visuals to speak for themselves and immerse users in the lifestyle The Emory offers.
To further differentiate the experience, we incorporated elevated interactive elements and refined functionality. These included sliding scroll image sections, interactive camera icons beside amenities that reveal photography on click, hover effects that transition text from solid to outlined, and smooth, seamless transitions between carousels. Each interaction was intentionally designed to feel effortless while adding depth, motion, and a sense of discovery.
The final website is bold, immersive, and unmistakably unique—positioning The Emory as a new standard for luxury living in Nashville. Through expressive typography, rich photography, and thoughtfully crafted interactions, the site communicates that The Emory is more than just a place to live—it’s a place to thrive.
By challenging conventional multifamily web design, the site helps define a new category of apartment living in Nashville: one centered on experience, culture, and elevated everyday life. The result is a digital presence that captures attention, reinforces luxury positioning, and invites prospective residents to envision life at The Emory.
